For the first time, Leiston is hosting its own Great Big Green Week! We’re putting on a series of fun activities to help you enjoy the nature and sustainable activities on offer in Leiston.

The Great Big Green Week is between the 6th and 14th June 2026, and it is the UK’s biggest celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature!

During this week communities, schools, businesses and churches come together in a wave of support for action to protect the planet. Tacking action to stand together for good shows our support for a safer, greener, fairer future.

Leiston can boast a range of fantastic natural spaces for the community to enjoy. Great Big Green Week provides the perfect opportunity to showcase them all!

Leiston’s Great Big Green Week 2026 Events include:

• Repair Cafe – 6th June – The Long Shop Museum – 11am-1.30pm
• Pedal to Zero Day – 8th June – Waterloo Centre – 10am-3pm
• Foster a Forest Launch – 11th June – Community Orchard – 2pm-4pm
• Power Station Film Screening – 11th June – Leiston Film Theatre – 2pm-4pm
